Zouina is a cosmetic brand that has a philanthropic foundation thats focused on giving 20% of it’s proceeds to breast cancer research. When coming up with the name, I wanted to highlight the idea of inner beauty and arrived at “zouina” which translates to “Beautiful” in Arabic. This brought on even more significance since Egypt is the origin of where the first findings of breast cancer were discovered and were the first in history to use cosmetics as a sign of royalty and enhanced beauty. The packaging itself includes textures that are meant to represent different ideas of beautiful from women all over the world and combine with pastel like colors to draw the eye.
