House industries is a design firm that produces a new set of typefaces each year. This year they were releasing a catalogue focusing on sales of their grunge font packages. Since the font’s had such a rough look and feel to them I combined multiple different art forms to create this distorted modge podge aesthetic that included photography, design and fine art. The photographs themselves were printed, painted, ripped and drawn on as well scanning them to create a unique and memorable texture that partnered well with each of the fonts for sale. Overall this process came together beautifully into what you see now; their 2018 type catalog.
